Christmas Day

Christmas day was filled with much joy and activity here in the Elliott house. After a morning of opening gifts and a special breakfast, the younger children enjoyed time playing in the snow. In the evening, we were blessed by spending time with the Mount family which is an annual tradition. The Mount family comes on Christmas day evening to enjoy a time of fellowship, food and a "dirty santa" gift exchange. This is followed by the lighting of our advent candles, reading about the birth of Jesus and singing Christmas carols. The Mount's had a new addition to their family with them this year. Grandma Mary (Mr. Mount's grandmother) has been living with the Mount's since the beginning of the month. It was delightful to have her join us.

We had lots of fun trying out a new way to give gifts in our family this year. It worked out so well that we will be doing it again next year. We drew names and each person was given $20 to spend. It was so cute to see how even the triplet's got into choosing just the right gift for their assigned person. Camie was so proud of the shirt and tie she picked out for Daddy. Her sweet smile says it all!
