Last Violin Recital

On Friday, Lillie & Dennah had their last violin recital with Mrs. Robin Edwards. Since 2006, she has graciously shared her gift of music with the girls. Mrs. Edwards has become a dear, dear friend and we treasure her greatly. Although she will no longer be giving the girl's lessons, we are looking forward to many more "friend" events over the years to come. Next up will be a visit to the tea room sometime this summer. How fun!

For Lillie & Dennah's last recital, it was only appropriate that they got to play in an ensemble group with Mrs. Edwards and their special friends, Brittney & Brooke Chatham. They played a piece by Vivaldi. It was beautifully done which brought Mrs. Edwards joy. Dennah was surprised when she was awarded a metal for having practiced everyday for 365 days. Way to go girl!
After the recital, we enjoyed time with the Chatham family at Braum's. We actually spent two hours there talking, talking and doing some more talking. All the violn playing girls shared a table while I joined the rest of the Chatham family at another table. I was blessed to have the time to catch up with Mr. & Mrs. Chatham and spend time with Caleb, Esther & Titus. It was a great way to end this season of violin for Lillie & Dennah.

A special thank you to Mrs. Robin Edwards for investing in my girl's lives and for being such a wonderful friend. You are a great violin teacher. We love you!
