Heart shaped cookies made Valentine’s Day extra fun and tasty in our house this year. Dennah blessed her siblings by making heart shaped cookies and pink frosting. Becker, Parker, Clay, Emma and Camie were delighted at the opportunity to frost and decorate their own cookies.
Lillie was in charge of documenting the event with photos while Dennah made sure everyone had what they needed. How wonderful to have older children who find joy in helping out their younger siblings and seeing their joy. Each child had their own cookie frosting technique. Clay relied heavily on the lick and dip method. He would lick, dip and lick again before his knife ever got near his cookie. Lillie commented that there was no way she would want to eat any cookie that Clay had frosted! At times, there was more frosting on faces than on cookies. The end result was a delightful time that made many precious memories.
We had so much fun that Dennah now has another cookie event planned to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Yummy!
