On Tuesday, February 12th, we had opportunity to celebrate Valentine’s Day early with Susanna.
Mama, Dennah, Emma and Camie went to Tulsa to participate in family therapy with Susanna. It is always a blessing to hear how Susanna is doing and what progress is being made towards her healing. At present, the behaviors that need to be addressed are just starting to emerge. Susanna’s therapist is please to see this. They can’t fix what they don’t know is broken! Emma and Camie were just as amused with the children’s play area and seeing each other on the monitor, as their brothers were two weeks before. Susanna appeared especially delighted to see Emma and Camie. It blessed my mama’s heart to hear Susanna say when Dennah asked that Susanna was very happy to be living there.
After talking with Susanna and her therapist, we were able to give Susanna her Valentine’s Day gift and a special card colored just for her by Emma. Susanna was visibly pleased with everything. We never want Susanna to doubt for a minute that she is loved by her family and most importantly, God.
