Susanna is doing well. On Tuesday, May 6th, Brent, Hattie, Becker, Parker and Clay went to Tulsa to visit our precious Miss Susanna. After family therapy, Susanna was able to take advantage of her one pass (two passes are required for an off campus visit) and spent some time playing with her family in the play yard. As Hattie took photos, everyone else played like crazy. They climbed on, over & under every part of the play structure. They enjoyed an energetic game of tag, which even included Daddy. The boys played so hard and had so much fun that they slept the entire drive home. Susanna also had lots of fun. It blesses this mother’s heart to know that Susanna had a great time!
According to Susanna’s therapist, Susanna is on schedule with her treatment and progressing as expected. Susanna continues to enjoy living in the RAD unit and has lots of joy to share about when we talk together on the phone. The only thing Susanna isn’t thrilled about is “hard work” that is expected of her while in therapy sessions. Susanna struggles to share her heart, feelings and emotions honestly. This is exactly what is expected of her during therapy and is what is needed to work towards her healing. We have faith that this will become easier for her as time progresses. We continue to praise God for this wonderful opportunity for Susanna. She couldn’t be getting better care anywhere else. Susanna is happy, healthy and on the road to healing. What a praise!!
