Camie Jane and Emma Belle are double the fun around our house! These two precious little girls are thick as thieves and keep us all laughing with many the amusing things they say. They both are quite the "girlfriends" and bring us no end to joy. They look more and more alike everyday and find humor in "confusing" folks. I often wonder what it would be like to have someone look just like me. A unique and special gift that God only gives to a few.Recently, both girls have lost both of their bottom front teeth. Interesting since they are only four! This has gotten me to think...there have been many children that have been adopted out of Liberia and their ages have been challenged due to their teeth. Maybe many of these children where presented as the correct age and in the USA we are just used to children losing their teeth around six. When Emma lost the first tooth, we were somewhat concerned. But soon the permanent tooth arrived confirming this is just all part of God's plan.
We have finally come up with a great way to manage the girl's hair. Braids and Beads! Camie (in the green beads) and Emma (in the blue beads) have learned to endure the five plus hours it takes to unbraid, wash and rebraid their hair. We have gotten down to somewhat of a science and only rebraid their hair every three weeks. Yeah! In between braiding, we change out the rubber bands once and spray oil on their hair daily. All this is no easy task but it is nice to see the girl's hair growing and that Emma & Camie feel special with their hair braided with beads.
Emma & Camie enjoy being outside and playing with Joy. Evidenced by the ugly looking ball of Joy's that Emma is holding. They like to jump on the trampoline, sing and draw. The girl's enjoy school, especially math and writing their letters. They like playing with dolls, running around holding guns with Parker, riding bikes and being big helpers in the kitchen.
Emma & Camie have the joy of the Lord on their hearts and we praise God for our double portion of fun!
