It took a while to figure it out but making gingerbread people is a lot easier than gingerbread houses. For years, we have made houses but this year Mrs. Chatham found some great people cookie cutters for us to try. Wahoo! A plan that definitely worked! With kids that would rather eat the candy and lick the icing off the knives (not to worry...they are plastic and dull), people are the way to go. Parker says that they are Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus, so this is what we now call them. We had a lot of fun decorating our gingerbread family at the Chatham's this year. The older girls did not partake in the sweet & sugary fun but the rest had a blast. Quite the artists, with each having their own style. The top sample is Clay's creation...heavy on the icing, especially on baby Jesus. We enjoy anything we get to do with the Chatham family and appreciate their friendship greatly. This was another good day to add to our list of cherished memories with dear friends.
