Thank you!

I want to thank everyone on Dennah's behalf who blessed her with birthday cards & letters, unexpected gifts, heartfelt prayers, and posts on her Facebook. Dennah felt loved and was overwhelmed by every one's thoughtfulness. She told me that she had received about 30 cards in honor of her birthday! WOW! Talk about making a sweet 16 year old's birthday memorable and special. Thank you, thank you, thank you! For those who know that she has no Internet access, Dennah still was able to read all the posts to her wall. Lillie copied them all and we sent them to her to enjoy. She even received a flower arrangement complete with tea cup and saucer. She loves tea and collects tea cups so this blessed her greatly. (Thank you Daddy for thinking of your precious daughter in such a unique and special way!) She also said that the girls on her team did everything they could to help make her feel special on her birthday. Her day was filled with much joy, sweet memories and the kindness of family and friends. Thank you.

I couldn't resist including this photo of Dennah and her cousin, Callie. This was taken during our season of Civil War Reenactments and historical dancing. This was also the season of princesses. Dennah was Princess Flower Daisy. A wonderful season. Since that time, Callie now has become a Whitley and has a wonderful husband, Derrick. And as for Dennah....she is now 16 and has grown into a delightful, godly young woman. Praise the Lord.
