Escaped! {Bump}

This morning, Lil discovered that Jack had escaped sometime during the night.  YIKES! We were aware that Jack had a history of being an escape artist before we got him but this was definitely a first for us!  Knowing that we had a baby Boa Constrictor on the loose somewhere in the house, we quickly altered our morning plans and began an all out search for Jack.  Fortunately, it didn't take long before Lil found him behind a small bookcase in the living room.  I can only imagine all the fun he must have had with free reign of the house last night.  I am so glad he has been found and is securely in his "kennel" (as Emma likes to call his home).  At the very least, we figured we'd be getting a lot fewer visitors if we hadn't recovered him.  Haha! 



Jack likes to slither to the top of his "kennel" at night and when he discovered
 that the top wasn't securely closed, he took full advantage.  Yikes!



Lil found him using a flashlight.  He was wedged up between the wall and
a bookcase.  He had made his way out of our room into the living room.
You can see how he is in the middle of shedding his skin. 
We recently found out that we have been "power" feeding
Jack and that is why he has been growing so fast.  Go figure?!! 
So now Jack gets fed every other week instead of weekly.



I think he is so cute.  Just look at his sweet little face!

 

Once we moved the bookcase to retrieve him,
Jack made a quick about face to try and avoid capture.



We were able to get a hold of him without any trouble but I must say
that since then, he has had a very bad attitude.  Misses his freedom!

You never know what a day may bring.  We are so glad to have our escape snake back were he belongs.  Feel free to visit without the surprise of discovering a runaway snake!
