Family Camp 2011 {Blessing}

Stuart Covey and Becker...these two guys hung out all week together.
They had a total blast playing volleyball, riding bikes, rappelling,
shooting rifles and bows, rock climbing, and playing carpet ball.

 

There is always something to do at Family Camp.  Clay, Emma & Camie
had lots of fun trying out most everything but really liked trying their hand
at archery.  The ALERT guys were so patient helping them out.

A fabulous week was had by our entire family.  The only problem with
Family Camp is there just isn't enough hours in a day to spend time
with all the wonderful families and friends that attend!



This photo of our dear friends, the Chatham family, was taken on the last
night.  As you can see, we waited too long and some of their precious
children were "done".  A full day of Family Camp really wears the little
(and big!) kids out!  We were blessed to "camp" with their family, as well
as with the Mount family.  We hope to camp with both families again next year!



Becker was a blessing to me as he helped Clay at the rifle shoot.



Brenna Chatham isn't one to shy away from a challenge.  She did great
shooting, rock climbing, rappelling, horse backriding, and playing volleyball!



Parker and his buddy, Oliver Covey, had lots of fun together!  They even
entered a canoeing race even though neither have much experience and did great!

Aside from volleyball, rappelling was the
activity of choice.  Family Camp is a great
opportunity for catching up with "forever" friends,
 and growing new friendships.

Camie coming down the "short" (24') side for the first
time with the help of an ALERT guy.  She loved
it!  She ended up going a lot and the next day she
rappelled with her daddy on both the "short" (24')
and the "tall" (48') side.  She did great and was so
proud of her accomplishments! Clay and Emma
both suited up but decided that it would be best to
wait another year.  I am so proud of them for trying.



Parker convinced me to give it a try and I loved it!

in something my son enjoys doing.

Brittney Chatham gets the award for hard core rappeller.  She had
to have gone at least 75 times over the course of the week!  Way to go
Brittney!  Lillie is so grateful to have Brittney as a "forever" friend...
our entire family praises God for the Chatham family!

She had run off to be a blessing to her mother by helping with Titus and Levi.

Family Camp is all about family, friends and making special memories...
all for the glory of God.  We praise God for the blessing of friendships!

We had a fabulous time at Family Camp!  It was great to spend time with so many people dear to our hearts...the Ballman's, Chatham's, Covey's, Mount's and Twibell's...just to name a few.  What a blessing to be surrounded with so many godly friends!  I wish we had taken more photos...many got missed while we were busy enjoying ourselves and making memories.  If you want to see some more great FC photos, check out the Chatham family blog here.  The weather was beautiful, the speakers inspiring, the activities challenging & fun, the fellowship encouraging, and the grace of God plentiful!  We are already looking forward to Family Camp 2012!
