Baby Goats!

With great joy and praise to God, we are pleased to announce the birth of two healthy baby goats to a healthy first time mama goat! Late in the evening on Valentine’s Day, Juanita gave birth by herself and without any trouble to Gaby and Teddy Bear. Dennah discovered their late night arrival when she went out to check on them at 12:30AM. Her joy could hardly be contained!

Brent and Dennah quickly rearranged the goat situation in the pens to settle the new mama and her precious babies in a warm, enclosed space. With a huge sigh of relief and with a heart filled with joy, Dennah slept peacefully knowing that her goat had kidded safely. The rest of the children shared in her joy the next morning when they learned of Gaby and Teddy Bear’s arrival.

Dennah will not be expecting any more of her goats to kid for a couple of months. The recent trouble was new to our goat herd. Until then, the goats have always kidded easily with minimal trouble. Dennah says that she will no longer ever take this for granted again and praises God for the two sweet new little friends now snuggled up with their mama in our goat shed.
