Becker's Birthday Party

Last Night, Becker celebrated his 12th birthday with friends. We all had a great time! The theme for his party was volleyball in red, white & blue. The Mounts and the Deeds, both being being great sports, showed up in the theme colors ready to brave the extremely humid weather to play volleyball with Becker. Considering it had to have been the most miserable weather we have had this summer, this is saying a lot!

After our group photo, we had dinner...hot dogs, watermelon, chips, carrots & cucumbers with all the soda you could drink (a very special treat around here!). Then off to play volleyball! What a gift to have friends that are willing to play, laugh and sweat with us. Becker had a blast and was so grateful to be celebrating with new birthday volleyball in hand.

Everyone came in to cool down and have some of Becker's delicious chocolate chip ice cream cake that Dennah made...yum! The Deeds sang "Happy Birthday" to Becker in Portuguese. Very fun!

Table tennis was quite the hit since folks could play and stay cooler. Mr. Deeds gave everyone quite the education about table tennis. WOW! He can sure play! Word has it that he played while growing up in Brazil and even competed in tournaments. The final event for the evening was a mini fireworks show.

Becker had a great celebration. I am constantly amazed and humbled by all the good friends God has placed in our lives. Thank you to both the Deed's and the Mount's for coming our way to help make Becker's 12th birthday so memorable and special. We love you, our dear friends!
