Dennah was worried that she wouldn't get much of chance to exercise while there but between living on the fifth floor (last floor burns the legs when running up) and taking 30 minute afternoon walks, she is getting to move around which blesses her. They serve salad twice a day and fruit for breakfast so Dennah is thrilled with the food. She is having trouble sleeping through the night due to all the noises and lights of downtown Dallas. She said she will get used to it in time but it does make getting up at 6:00 AM a bit of a challenge with a lack of good rest. She has been able to fit in 25 minutes a day for violin practice after dinner and before the evening session. A good thing. The girls took DISC personality assessments and Dennah is a high "S." No surprise...People with high "S" styles want a steady pace, security, and do not like sudden change. They are calm, relaxed, patient, predictable, deliberate, stable, and consistent. That's my sweet Little Dee! The downside is the high "S" tend to have difficulty trusting in God at times. Good to know. My precious daughter can continue to work on trusting God while at EXCEL. His plan is perfect!
It was so good to talk with my sweet little girl. It was very difficult to say goodbye...again. We hope to hear from her next Thursday, with a slight chance she may be able to call on Sunday. No matter when she calls, it will be great to hear from her. If Dennah comes to mind, please pray that she would get good rest and continue to do all the Lord has placed before her with joy, diligence and endurance. Thank you!

Mrs. Elliot,
Thank you for updating about Dennah. I have been thinking about her all week! When you talk to her next, tell her I am thinking and praying for her. I am so glad the Lord answered prayer and gave her such a good team and room-mates.
Blessings,
Julie
